Ray Turner and The Jill are a country radio duo based in North Carolina. They are married and work together at Dixie 105.7, where Ray is the morning show host and Jill is a co-host. They are known for their fun and informative on-air personalities, as well as their love of country music. In addition to their radio work, Ray and The Jill also host a number of events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, and charity fundraisers. Huge crowd came out last night and again we thank you for patience!!To start the night off at 17:18 pm we get paged out to a cotton picker on fire off county line road. When E46 arrived on scene the picker was fully involved. E46 and B44 made a quick attack on the flames and extinguished it quickly but the picker was a total loss.Thankfully part of the crew was able to get back to the station to finish setting up. The rest of the crew got back at 18:10 and had to get the trucks back ready for service.With all that excitement we still were able to start sign up at 6:30 and started shooting before 7 pm!! Thanks to all who offered to help while we were short staffed. Thanks to Ray Turner jumping in to help with concessions! Thanks to Ray and The Jill for broadcasting live to help bring the crowd!! Like we’ve said before it takes our family members and friends, along with our members to put this event on, we couldn’t do it without them!!

Gospel singer Bobbi Storm is facing social media backlash after she posted video accusing Delta Air Lines of being in the wrong when she announced to passengers that she was going to sing. Lainey Wilson Dominated Last Night's CMA Awards
Lainey Wilson cleaned house at last night's "57th Annual CMA Awards". She won five awards, including Entertainer of the Year. Yes, you heard that right. She became the first female to win that award since Taylor Swift in 2011.
She also won Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "Bell Bottom Country" . . . and her song with Hardy,"Wait In the Truck", won Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year. Yeah, it was her night.
Nobody else dominated, although Chris Stapleton seems to own the Male Vocalist of the Year category. He won his seventh.
There was an early surprise when Luke Combs' "Fast Car" won Single of the Year, and then moments later, Song of the Year. The Internet wasn't happy that a cover beat out songs written by country artists in BOTH of those categories.
Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning were solid. They stood shoulder-to-shoulder and delivered a good monologue. They busted on each other, showed clips of each other doing stupid things, and even sang together. It's their gig as long as they want it.
The night was filled with great performances. Jelly Roll opened the show with "Need A Favor", and it got better when Wynonna Judd and her amazing voice joined him. Unfortunately, it looked like she wasn't feeling well, and struggled to keep her balance.
Ashley McBryde quietly commanded the stage while performing "The Devil I Know". Same with Jordan Davis singing "Next Thing You Know".
You want romantic? While Cody Johnson was singing "The Painter", a digital mural of his wife Brandi was on a giant screen behind him. It went from black & white to color by the time song ended, and they showed her in the audience crying when it was over.
There was a surprise when Morgan Wallen and Eric Church performed "Man Made a Bar". They were unannounced, but definitely welcomed.
Even though it's impossible to dislike Luke Combs. His performance of "Where the Wild Things Are" was, well, uninspiring. It just never took off.
And then there's Chris Stapleton. He never sits one out. He played lead guitar and sang "White Horse" . . . and it was amazing. It made me wish I was in the audience joining them for the standing ovation when it was over.
Speaking of that. You want another clue that it was Lainey Wilson's night? The crowd gave her a standing ovation before she even started her performance of "Wildflowers and Wild Horses". They must have known they were in for something big.
The stage looked like she borrowed a scene from "Yellowstone" . . . with chaparral, billows of smoke, barbed wire . . . and all of it colored it red. There was even a ring of fire. As promised, it was electrifying.
Here's a message to Kelsea Ballerini. You did a fine job performing "Leave Me Again", but that IS your last divorce song, right?
The Jimmy Buffett tribute had Kenny Chesney and Mac McAnally singing "A Pirate Looks at Forty" . . . then Zac Brown and Alan Jackson on "Adios, My Friend" . . . and then all four on "Margaritaville". In the words of Kenny, "Thank you, Jimmy."

The Way You Butter Toast Says a Lot About Your Personality?
HIGHLIGHTS: Some psychologist claims the way you butter your toast can say a lot about your personality. For example, if you just toss some butter on and glide the knife across once or twice, you're probably laid back and easygoing. If you make sure there's "total coverage," you're precise and like to be in control.
FULL STORY: Tea and toast is big in England. We only mention it because a new study found the average Brit butters 574 slices of bread a year. And HOW you butter your toast can supposedly say a lot about your personality. (???)
They had some psychologist weigh in on how different people do it, and what it says about you. Here are nine buttering techniques, and what each one supposedly means . . .
1. The Glider. You just toss some butter on, glide it across the bread once or twice, and eat. It means you're laid back, easygoing, and okay with change.
2. Total Coverage. Every square inch of the bread MUST have butter. You're methodical, precise, organized, and like to be in control.
3. The Clumper. Minimal spreading. Just one or two pads of butter mashed into the bread. You think outside the box and like to do things your own way. You also tend to be late a lot. (???)
4. Would You Like Some Toast with That Butter? If you use WAY more butter than most people, you probably have a happy disposition, enjoy life, and don't mind overindulging.
5. The Crust-Avoider. You butter the middle of the bread but don't go to the edges. It's a sign you're extremely neat. You don't want to make a mess, so you make sure you "butter inside the lines."
6. The Double-Sider. You spread butter on both sides. (Who does that? Is that a British thing?) It's a sign you're creative, live by your own rules, and don't mind being the "weird" one.
7. Tear-and-Spread. Where you tear pieces off and butter them individually. You're fun, outgoing, and think differently. And you probably have good communication skills, because you have to explain yourself a lot.
8. The Curler. (???) They're referencing a specific utensil called a butter curler. If you use anything other than a knife to butter your bread, it means you're smug and tend to think YOUR way is the best way. You're also good at puzzles. (???)
9. Barely There. You use just enough butter to get the job done. It means you're a "go-getter" who moves fast and doesn't waste time. Or, you're just on a diet.

Jeff Carson was one of the new country singers who was able to parlay the mass success of country music in the early '90s to a massive hit with his eponymous first album.
Carson was born in Tulsa, OK, but raised in the small Arkansas town of Gravette. As a child, he sang in church and played harmonica and guitar. While he was in high school, he and his friends formed a band to play their school's talent show, performing the Eagles' "Seven Bridges Road." After the ad hoc group won second place, Carson was convinced to pursue a musical career. Following his high-school graduation, he entered a talent contest at an entertainment complex called Ozark Mountain Music in Rogers, AR. Although he didn't come in first, the winner asked Carson to play in his house band. For the next four years, he played with the outfit, until they finally disbanded.
Carson moved to Branson, MO, where he played bass in local bands and started writing his own songs. In Branson, he met and married his wife, Kim Cooper, who encouraged him to move to Nashville. Kim had a friend who played at the Opryland Hotel and his group Texana needed a bassist -- hence, Carson moved to Music City in 1989. After some persuasion, he convinced the hotel to book him as a solo act. Around the same time, he signed a songwriting deal with Little Big Town Music and began singing on demo tapes for a variety of companies. Eventually, publisher/producer Chuck Howard heard Carson's original material and signed a publishing and development deal with him. By 1994, Jeff had signed with Curb Records.

His facility with R&B lends a swagger to his honky tonk and a simmer to his ballads, qualities that brought him to the attention of Jake Owen and, in turn, to the televised country music competition Real Country. Once Fleet's season on Real Country wrapped up in 2018, he signed with Big Loud Records and released his debut album Workin' Hard in late 2019.
A native of White Bluff, Tennessee, Larry Fleet was drawn to music at an early age, playing and singing in his family's bluegrass band when he was just six years old. He spent some time in Chattanooga before heading to Nashville. During those early days, he balanced his fledgling musical career with family life, writing songs and working as a promo man at WSM radio. An early publishing deal didn't generate any success, so he kept grinding away, writing songs when he wasn't working manual labor or as an electrician.
Fleet's breakthrough arrived when he played a set of covers at a wedding barn party in 2017, a shindig Jake Owen just happened to attend. Owen took a shine to Fleet. The two became friends, Owen took the singer out on tour and, more importantly, helped him land a spot on Real Country, the USA Network talent competition which featured Owen as a judge. Fleet placed second on Real Country, by which time he had a handful of independent singles -- "Wasted Time," "Working Man," and "Die Young" -- to his credit.
Big Loud Records, the label Owen called home, signed the singer to a deal in 2019. Fleet set to work with Joey Moi, a producer best known for his work with Florida Georgia Line and Jake Owen, and cut his debut album, Workin' Hard. Released in November 2019, the album featured the singles "Tied Down" and "Lied About Love." Fleet returned with new music in the summer of 2020 through the release of the single "Where I Find God."
