 the 10 Best Country Songs About Winter

 There are plenty of songs about snow and ice and winter that don’t necessarily focus on the holidays. The Boot put together a list of their 10 favorites.  Some were singles and others were album tracks.  Here’s the list:

 

 

1.  If We Make It Through December, Merle Haggard (1973)

 

Winter lyric:  “I shiver when I see the falling snow.”

 

 

2.  Traveling Alone, Jason Isbell (2013)

 

Winter lyric:  “I’ve been fighting second gear, for 15 miles or so, trying to beat the angry snow.”

 


 

3.  Jesus, Take the Wheel, Carrie Underwood (2005)

 

Winter lyric:  “Before she knew it, she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass.”
